Oscar De La Hoya says he’s ‘undoubtedly going to sue for defamation’ after his current altercation with Canelo Alvarez.
It was this previous Wednesday, on the pre-fight press convention for Canelo Alvarez vs. Jaime Munguia, that boxing legend, now promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, took to the rostrum and addressed Canelo, demanding respect for his or her previous variations.
Canelo, getting up into De La Hoya’s face, proceeded to fireside off some slurs in Spanish, a few of which involved stealing cash from fighters (see that right here).
Talking with ‘ESPN‘, De La Hoya shared:
“I’m undoubtedly going to sue for defamation. Think about the injury it may well do to my repute. Think about what it may well do to my enterprise to fighters (who) are going to consider that. It’s horrible. We paid (Golvkin) every part he’s owed.”
Persevering with, De La Hoya spoke about his trade with Alvarez:
“I’m going to defend myself when someone’s talking damaging about me and that’s what I did. This was my excellent second to let him understand how I really feel. It felt so good. Lastly — I used to be simply holding my tongue for all these years — and at last I can f*cking inform him in his face, put some f*cking respect on my title.”
Alvarez (60-2-2) vs. Munguia (43-0) takes place this coming weekend, on Saturday, Could 4th on the T-Cell Area in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Alvarez might be defending his WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF super-middleweight titles towards Munguia.
Win or lose it’s wanting like Alvarez might be going through one other battle exterior the cage with Oscar De La Hoya.
