Chael Sonnen downplays “B****” Conor McGregor’s toe harm
In a latest episode of his Past the Struggle podcast, Sonnen doubled down that McGregor is protecting up a rehabilitation stint.
“Conor McGregor despatched a tweet out, and he instructed me to close my pie-hole,” Sonnen started. “Now, what do you do with that? What do you do with that for those who’re in my spot? Do you fireplace again at McGregor? As a result of one factor I’d by no means do is kick a person when he’s down. I’d at all times man a hand up if he was down. As soon as he bought again up and the whole lot’s degree, the rule’s off…I don’t know that [tapping to strikes] is correct or not…the [toe injury] proof he supplies is a discolorization on the underside a part of a toe, believed to be his personal. And I gotta phrase it that method: there’s lots of BS footage that go round on the market…It’s a method of him resisting my perception that he’s in rehab, of which by the way in which, I believe is a extremely great point!
“I imagine the place he’s and what he’s doing together with his time is rehabilitating himself, which is superior. He desires it to be recognized that he’s not rehabilitating himself, he as a substitute is repairing himself. Out of all of the elements of his physique that might be damage, it’s particularly a pinkie toe? He simply didn’t put out any proof that it was his pinkie toe, and that could be a shock to me. So Conor refused my praise, that he had the energy to hunt assist. You may take heed to Conor’s account which makes him look slightly b****.”
McGregor hasn’t fought contained in the Octagon since a physician’s stoppage loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. As for Sonnen, he retired from MMA in 2019 and can enter the UFC Corridor of Fame later this month.
